The Southwest Story

Southwest Cannabis is the oldest and largest producer of cannabis in northern New Mexico. We’ve been around since before weed was recreationally legal, originally operating as a medical dispensary until the laws in NM changed. We now have 9 stores between Albuquerque and Taos.

What we’re doing is unique

100% of our cannabis is produced at high altitude (7,000 ft!) in our greenhouse facilities in Taos, NM. Our small but experienced team is constantly calibrating to the unique demands of the high desert environment of Taos to produce tasty, effective, and hearty cannabis with character and integrity.

Unlike many other dispensaries, we can happily say we exclusively sell our own product. Our cannabis is handcrafted from start to finish, which is a fancy way of saying that nothing about our process is automated or machine-run. We hand mix our tanks of fertilizer and base the feed schedule entirely on the needs of the plants. Our mission is to employ our local community of experienced growers to provide you, our local community, with the highest quality cannabis in the Sangre de Cristos.
